Subject: EAACI Congress 2011 - Registration and Abstract Submission Open

Dear friends and colleagues,

On behalf of my colleagues in the EAACI and the Turkish National Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology it is my great pleasure to invite you to come to Istanbul next June, and take part in the EAACI Congress 2011. This will be the biggest allergy event ever, and we expect over 10,000 participants. The Programme Committee has put together an outstanding programme covering the whole field of allergy, as well as lots of new topics and formats. There will be something for everyone, whether you are interested in clinical practice, basic science, translational medicine or communication with patients and the general public.

We warmly invite you to submit abstracts to the Istanbul 2011 Congress. Your work is an essential part of this Congress and we expect over 2,000 abstracts. Bring your latest data - we are making a special effort to ensure that everyone's work will be well heard and is analysed with experts in the relevant field. As well as presenting in the main Programme, Junior Members can also showcase their work in the JMA Poster Event when the Interest Group and Section leadership will actively engage in discussion and interpretation of your new and exciting data.

A lively social programme is also planned, starting with the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party on Saturday evening. Don't miss it!

The Preliminary Programme has now been printed and will be going out to everyone on our mailing lists this week. Do please make sure that all your colleagues and friends know about the Meeting: we have planned it, but it really is your Meeting and it is your presence there that makes it a success. I and my colleagues in the Local Organising Committee will do everything in our power to make this the best and biggest allergy congress ever. Please visit our website
www.eaaci2011.com

Send in your abstracts, register for the Congress and we will look forward to welcoming you to Istanbul next June!

Yours Sincerely,

Ömer Kalaycı
EAACI Congress 2011 President

EAACI 2011 - Now Focusing on our Next Annual Congress in Istanbul

Dear EAACI friends and colleagues,

As the holiday season approaches, EAACI looks back on 2010 and all that was accomplished during this eventful year. The EAACI Congress 2010 in London was very successful, with a total number of 8'000 delegates and over to 2'000 presented abstracts. We are also proud that EAACI's smaller topic-focused meeting - SAM in Venice, ERAM/SERIN in Brussels, and ISMA in Munich, over-met all expectations and provided additional value to our members and specialists. Four Allergy Schools were also organised this year.

We are now focusing on our next annual Congress in Istanbul, 11 - 15 June, 2011. The planned programme includes seven plenary sessions and over 100 symposia, workshops, clinical updates and pro-con debates. Together with oral abstract sessions and poster presentations, this will result in more than 120 sessions, and thus an enormous amount of information will be communicated among scientists and clinicians at the EAACI Congress 2011. The deadline for early registration is February 10, 2011.

The Call for Abstracts is also now available online www.eaaci2011.com and the deadline for abstract submission is January 18, 2011. We are looking forward to seeing you in Istanbul and in the meantime may your holiday season and the New Year be filled with much joy, happiness and success.

EAACI is also active in organising the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Meeting in Venice, Italy, 17 - 19 February. If you have a chance to attend, I highly recommend this Meeting which will be the first of its kind, with excellent speakers and participation of all different types of stakeholders.

Best regards,

Jan Lötvall
EAACI President 2009-2011
