Subject: Greetings from Pediatric Allergy and Immunology

Dear Prof. Reinhold Kiehl,

As Editor-in-Chief of the journal Pediatric Allergy and Immunology, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a happy New Year during this festive season.

This year our journal has made a lot of progress and the most important one is related also to your contribution. Currently Pediatric Allergy and Immunology is becoming faster and faster in its peer-review process, thanks to the rapid and highly qualified responses of our reviewers.

Textfeld:

New initiatives have been undertaken. Thanks to the “PAI four countries” initiative, the journal is becoming closer to pediatricians in Turkey, Italy and Spain. New countries will follow in the next year. Thanks to the “PAI-JMA collaboration,” the journal is becoming closer to the junior member affiliates of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, a great energy of our community. Thanks to the “Editor’s Choice” initiative, the Journal is becoming closer and closer to at least some of its best authors. Additional new initiatives will come in 2012.

In this promising context, we would like to express our gratitude to you for your qualified collaboration. Peer-review timing and quality are two essential parameters contributing to the Journal’s reliability. It has been therefore a pleasure to work with you throughout this year and we believe that next year will not be any different.

As begun the last year, we shall publish a list of reviewers’ names in the February issue in order to thank all of them for their cooperation. Furthermore, we are sending to you (see attached file) a reviewer certificate.

May the new year come filled with the happiness and the success you deserve.
Yours sincerely,

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Wahn
Editor-in-Chief
